The Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) is a premier research institute working in the field of plasma science and technology with a long term objective of achieving fusion as a source of energy. IPR has built India's first tokamak device (Aditya & SST-1) and is also a nodal organization representing India in the multinational ITER project. IPR also develops industry specific plasma based technologies for societal and industrial applications.
