The Chimaera Project is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women filmmakers to fearlessly create, inspire and lead. Our overarching goal is to inspire confidence in hiring more women and nonbinary creatives. Statistics prove that current hiring practices in the arts have a tangible creative and economic impact on families and our communities. About Our Logo: Ancient myths often tell of beings made from parts of several creatures joined together in a single form. Our Chimaera joins the head and upper torso of a woman with the body of a lion, strong hooves of the goat and wings of the sphinx to represent feminine power and strength. She rests her hoof on a film can, taking ownership and control of her own destiny.
