Gloucester Cathedral is a place where all are welcome, regardless of background or faith. We are open 365 days a year and are proud that there is no charge to enter the building. A donation will be requested. Over 350,000 people from all over the world come to the Cathedral every year to take part in our services, events and activities or to enjoy the experience of visiting one of the finest medieval buildings in Europe. 450 hard-working, loyal volunteers help to ensure that their visit is as good as it possibly can be. As a charity which is independent of Government we rely on donations and legacies, as well as income raised from our commercial activities. It costs over £6million a year to ensure the building is kept open and in the best condition possible for future generations.
