The mission of the Jewish Community Alliance of Southern Maine (JCA) is to enhance and promote Jewish life and continuity locally, in Israel and throughout the world, and to generate the financial resources to develop, provide and support diverse programs, education and services in order to accomplish these goals. Located in Portland, Maine, the JCA, a combination of Portland’s Jewish Community Center and Federation since 1999, is a member of JCCA and JFNA. The JCA is home to a NAEYC -accredited preschool, ACA-accredited summer camp, Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning, Jewish Family Services (JFS), PJ Library, an Annual Community Campaign, and cultural events. The JCA is a place where people of all ages, faiths and backgrounds come together to build community.
