“Annapurna College of Film and Media is a catalyst to prepare the future generations for my mother, the Film industry. It is of great importance for my family & myself, as we give back to the industry with gratitude, for the success we have experienced. If I were to summarise my 75-year acting career, it was without any formal training or education, through a journey of struggle, taking years to slowly blossom into a fruitful experience. Thus, my dream and aim is to create for the industry and the younger generations, a film school that is of international standards, here in India. I see Annapurna College as a college with world-class facilities, faculty and vision, where talent is encouraged, mentored and showcased. One important & unique feature of this college is that it is located inside Annapurna Studios, a fully functional professional Film Studio, where students can uniquely experience a filmmaking environment around them. I wish the opportunity is utilised well.” - Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Founder, Annapurna College of Film and Media.
