CLAN Midland is a not for profit, community-based, family support service successfully providing support to enhance skills and the quality of the home environment for parents and families with children under the age of 18 years. CLAN Midland uses the outreach model as one of its forms of service delivery. Our focus is about increasing family functioning, reducing risk factors and strengthening protective factors. CLAN Midland operates as an independent service with a Board of Management and retains a strong bond with community agencies, local practitioners, clients and volunteers ensuring a healthy environment for all involved in family support. Through its Community Outreach Program and various community activities, workshop programs and groups that CLAN Midland provides, families have the opportunity to learn by doing, to build on their confidence and strengths and gain a clear understanding of ways to better manage themselves and their situation.
