Established in 1968 by Mohammed Salem Al Dhahiri and Amal Issa Hourani, Al Ain General Contracting Company (ALGECO) started off with a modest staff of 20 people to serve the construction needs of commercial and residential facilities in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). The history of ALGECO can be traced back to the discovery of oil and the exciting prospects of the establishment of U.A.E. Over the decades, ALGECO has provided industry wide construction management and general contracting services to a wide variety of clients. ALGECO's growth is a reflection of the growth of the country. Today the company has grown to an organization of over 5500 employees with design and construction expertise covering the U.A.E. and Lebanon .
