Diaz•Yourman & Associates (DYA) is a privately-held geotechnical consulting services corporation, founded in December 1992. Since then, DYA has grown in size, capacity, and breadth of services. DYA now has 25 employees, including 14 engineers with post-graduate level degrees in geotechnical engineering. The engineers are supported by a staff of technicians, word processors, and drafters (AutoCAD and Microstation), as well as an extensive technical library. DYA is certified as a minority business enterprise and disadvantaged business enterprise (MBE/DBE) through the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) under the California Unified Certification Program (CUCP), and we are certified as a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) by the Small Business Administration (SBA). DYA is also registered as a small or community business with several agencies, such as the Metropolitan Water District, City of Los Angeles, and Port of Long Beach.
