Our mission is to understand, prevent and reduce mental health problems in young people aged 5 to 25, so that they can thrive through their formative years.
We undertake 'real-world' research to improve the evidence-based mental health treatments available to young people, in support of our vision of an Australia where no child falls through the cracks.
The Kidman Centre was founded as the Health Psychology Unit in 1985 by the late Prof. Antony Kidman AM. The Centre was renamed in Prof. Kidman's honour in June 2018.
The Kidman Centre is a department within the Faculty of Science at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
