We are the local district authorities for Chiltern and South Bucks. We have approximately 330 members of staff and the council is led by elected politicians. South Bucks District Council consists of 28 Councillors and Chiltern District Council consists of 40 Councillors, elected by residents every four years to act on their behalf.
Councillors make decisions about things like how local services will be developed and how money will be spent.
Some of the services we provide are:
Council Tax collection
Environmental Health
Housing advice services
Community and Leisure
Planning
Recycling and Waste
Revenues and Benefits
Chilterns Crematorium

We have successfully embraced the challenges of modern government through taking a progressive partnership approach to offering services.
We are proud of what we have achieved through our joint working and we are passionate about delivering excellent services to our customers every day and meeting the needs of our local communities.
We have worked together to develop our set of values and behaviours which embody the culture of our work through our customer focus, collaboration, challenge, commitment and courtesy. Our staff survey results consistently tell us that our employees think this is a great place to work and that they are proud to work for the Councils.
