The Independent Student Association was established in 1980 as a form of students` protest against communism. The main fields of its activity were politics and propaganda. The ISA used to organize demonstrations and strikes. It protested against communism, injustice, lack of democracy and freedom of thought and speech. Nowadays, we are a nationwide, politically independent organization which is engaged in various aspects of students’ life: we organize conferences, develop training programmes, prepare exhibitions, organize parties, student camps, charitable events or photo competitions. Our priority is to organize and animate student life at universities throughout Poland. We do it by offering numerous projects and student exchanges.
