White Pine’s breakout documentary “Shake Hands with the Devil: The Journey of Romeo Dallaire” received the Audience Award for World Cinema Documentaries at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, and the 2007 Emmy Award for Best Documentary. This influential feature film has had a profound impact on audiences around the world.
In 2007, White Pine Pictures extended its documentary pedigree into the world of drama, producing three seasons of “The Border”, an audience winner for CBC Television, now seen in 25 countries and versioned into 11 languages. The Border was created by Peter Raymont and Lindalee Tracey from their many years of frontline research and their production of “The Undefended Border”, a documentary series featuring unprecedented access to the behind-the-scenes action of immigration and security policing.
