Rowan Tree Dramatherapy is a Community Interest Company based in Kent committed to working within the community to ensure Dramatherapy is both accessible and useful to everybody.
Dramatherapy uses elements of drama and creative techniques to achieve therapeutic outcomes. It can be brief or long term and has its heart in the therapeutic relationship, supporting and nurturing personal growth.
Dramatherapy can help build confidence, self-awareness and enhance self-esteem, offers space to experience different perspectives, reduce feelings of isolation, offer time to externalise inner conflicts and dilemmas, gain an insight into behaviours and offers clients support whilst they explore relationships and personal stories.
Dramatherapy is fully inclusive and invites clients of all ages and abilities to work spontaneously, using a variety of creative techniques which may include exploring stories, scripts and roles using both verbal and non-verbal communication. Clients may wish to use movement, body and voice work and other creative and expressive methods such as sculpting and art.
We offer both group and individual therapy and can customise projects to suit the needs of each organisation, project, service, group or individual.
Rowan Tree Dramatherapy consists of a group of clinicians who believe strongly in evidence based practice. We are currently working in the field of developing and implementing new and effective evaluation tools in order to support best practice for our service users and funders.
Our Dramatherapists are all fully insured, HCPC and BADth registered and adhere to the HCPC and BADth ethical guidelines and codes of conduct.
