Swiss Made Excellence with an Amsterdam Character Our story begins in the seventeenth century, when master clockmaker Ahasuerus Fromanteel and his family moved into a small workshop in the center of Amsterdam. Together with his son, mister Fromanteel revolutionized the clock-making industry by implementing the newly discovered pendulum mechanism into a series of standing clocks, which from that point on were suddenly able to tell time with an accuracy unlike anything the world had ever seen. Today we remember and celebrate the Fromanteel legacy by carrying on his name for a new generation of Amsterdam watchmakers. Just like Ahasuerus, our offices and Concept Store are located deep in the heart of Amsterdam, along the famous Keizersgracht. Our watches are carefully assembled by true Swiss craftsmen in the Fromanteel Swiss Atelier in the city of Bienne – guaranteeing a constant quality befitting of the Fromanteel name. The designs are as effortless as Amsterdam itself: stylish, elegant, functional and playful. The doors of our Concept Store on the Keizersgracht 241 are open on Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9.30 and 17.30. Every visitor is greeted with a warm smile and a hot cup of coffee.
