Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) was founded on 16th January 2002, in partnership with the University of Westminster (London) and the UMID Foundation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. WIUT was the first Internationally Accredited institution in Central Asia.
The objective of WIUT is to provide internationally recognized Higher Education degrees at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, all validated by the University of Westminster. WIUT has further developed its capacity by providing professional courses and expanding its research outputs.
Faculty and staff are highly qualified specialists from Uzbekistan, UK, USA, Europe and other countries. The University of Westminster provides support for the development of staff, systems and the management of the University.
The strategy of the University is to strengthen and maintain a world class quality of Higher Education in partnership with other international institutions and organizations.
