The Cricket Rearing, Collection, and Transformation System (CRCTS) is an innovative food production device in development by a group of current and former McGill University Engineering students in the context of the Canadian Space Agency's Deep Space Food Challenge. Our device allows for live crickets to be reared, harvested, and converted to a protein-rich powder for human consumption in tasty recipes. System operations are semi-automated and allow for the user to be completely separated from the crickets' environment, favouring user-friendliness and ease of use.
