ATA Aerospace, LLC. was established in 2006, led by Applied Technology Associates (ATA). ATA Aerospace has a focus in various areas of the aerospace industry. Capabilities include comprehensive engineering, integration, logistics, and test services for satellite and high-altitude balloon programs. ATA Aerospace brings a successful past performance history, established infrastructure, and has a reputation for introducing innovations and efficiencies to its customers.
Headquarters for the DoD Space Services Division (DSSD) are located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In April 2007, ATA Aerospace’s DSSD won the Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate’s (AFRL/RV) Space Technology Research Analysis Integration and Test (STRAIT) contract. In July 2012, the DSSD successfully won the AFRL/RV Space Technology Research and Integrated Vehicle Experiments (STRIVE) contract, which is the follow-on to the STRAIT contract.
Headquarters for the Civil Space Services Division (CSSD) is located in Greenbelt, Maryland. ATA Aerospace CSSD provides mechanical, electro-mechanical and systems engineering services consisting of experienced multidisciplinary engineering teams for space flight technology research, instrument, mechanism and spacecraft integrated systems and subsystems. At the systems level our activities include requirements development, architecture design, detailed design, assembly integration and test planning, test support, laboratory support, mission operations support and anomaly resolution.
Collectively, we have supported more than 200 task orders across more than 30 projects including JWST, WFIRST, PACE/OCI, ICESat-2, ATLAS, GEDI, MOMA, OSIRIS-REx, TIRS, and LCRD with a large work force consisting of a diverse set of skills including Mechanical Engineers, Electrical, Systems, Materials, Aerospace, Safety, Mission assurance, and Software.
