Sole was founded in 1963 as a Zanussi motors and components production centre in Comina area. In 1984 it was acquired by Electrolux group which founded ECC (Electrolux Components Companies). Then in 2002 it was acquired by ACC (Appliances Components Companies) and finally in 2010 it became Nidec Sole Motor Corporation, a member of Nidec Corporation. Now it has more than 40 years of experience in designing, manufacturing and marketing of electric motors and elecronic motor control units for household and industrial appliances.
