Mid Ulster District Council straddles two counties, running from Swatragh in the north to Fivemiletown in the south and from the Sperrin Mountains in the west to the shores of Lough Neagh in the east.
The Council became responsible in April 2015 for the services and facilities previously provided by the 3 former councils of Cookstown, Dungannon and South Tyrone and Magherafelt, as well as for some services which transferred from central government and for new powers.
Building on the strengths of our district and the achievements of the councils which have gone before us, Mid Ulster District Council will maximise opportunities to enhance the vibrancy of its district, as a place to live, do business and visit.
We remain focused on the local, working for and with people to meet their needs, and make great value, high quality services and facilities maintained to the highest standards available to our residents, businesses and visitors.
We do this by delivering for our people, creating growth, sustaining our environment and building unity.
