The Voice of the Explosives Industries
If you, your company or your employer is associated with the Explosives Industry or your job involves the use of explosives including, in some circumstances, being a member of your country’s Armed Services, membership of the Institute is of interest to you.
Much of strength of the Institute is founded on the diversity of the disciplines practised by its members. The explosives fraternity today consists of Engineers, Scientists, Logisticians, Academics and Legislators, many of them in uniform. A recent survey of our overall membership profile revealed some 25 different disciplines covering 20 industry sectors.
Membership of this Institute is not by subscription alone, unlike other related organizations. Individual membership for this Institute is based on the key criteria of competency and experience that is confirmed by examination or, in the case of the Armed Services, successful completion of specific explosives engineering based training courses.
Vision: To be the natural professional home for all involved in Explosives and Explosives Engineering.
Mission: To promote the occupational competency, education and professional standing of those who work with explosives and provide consultative facilities for organisations and government departments within the explosives field.
