At Chisholm Hunter we pride ourselves on being ‘A Cut Above’, with a passion for providing exceptional diamonds, precious gemstones and Swiss timepieces, as well as creating cherished memories for our clients.
The Chisholm Hunter story is about more than jewellery and watches, the people are at the heart of the business. With over 300 people across our 27 UK Boutiques and Support Centre in Glasgow, our team consistently go the extra mile to exceed client expectations. They embody the company’s core values and their unwavering dedication and passion is what makes us ‘A Cut Above’. We’re proud to nurture and develop our professionals with in-house training, supporting them financially with external courses and opportunities for growth.
For us, this isn’t merely a business; it’s our legacy, a tale that started on Chisholm Street of Victorian Glasgow in 1857. Originally known as the “Store of 10,000 wonders”, the shop stocked an eclectic array of rare treasures. Back then, just like today, there was something for everyone at Chisholm Hunter. Gemologist Harry Brown breathed new life into our story in 1993, streamlining the business to become a specialist diamond merchant.
Chisholm Hunter is a family business, owned and run by two generations of the Brown family. A large part of our success can be attributed to putting relationships, emotions, and family values at the forefront.
We’re partnered with brands like Omega, Tudor, Tag Heuer, Vacheron, JLC, IWC, Panerai and many more. We are hugely proud to be one of the UK’s leading jewellers. As Chisholm Hunter has expanded, our commitment has extended far beyond our own products and services - shown through our support of nonprofit organisations and charities. These include Action For Children, McMillan Breast Cancer, Children’s First, Enable Scotland, Friends of Chernobyl, Spina Bifida Association and Spinal Injuries Scotland among others.
