A UN Foundation initiative and a club in the Girl Up Campaign chain to promote gender equality and empower individuals all across the globe. Girl Up is a campaign of the United Nations Foundation dedicated to securing equal opportunities for underprivileged adolescent girls. This community is a space for supporters and leaders of gender equality movement to learn, connect, and take action. Girl Up's aim is to provide students with service opportunities, affiliation with the United Nations and its programs, and exposure to the prominent issues faced by adolescent girls today. Rooh refers to the very essence of life, the soul and the immaterial part of every being. Through Girl Up Rooh, we aim to touch the very Rooh of every woman, to empower them and help them forge their own weapons to break free from all the fetters they’ve been manacled with. Girl Up Rooh aims to provide a platform for women, and work towards a world without stereotypes and gender inequality. We encourage young girls to realise their potential and harbour their aspirations to grow and flourish. We intend to focus our efforts on serving the social, economical and political development of women.
