A leading University of engineering proflile in the Republic of Kazakstan. Today many graduates have become leading specialists in different branches of economy and research institutions. For the special merits in training country's engineering specialties by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of September 29, 1999 the Kazakh National Technical University was named after a prominent scientist, Academician Kanysh Imantayevich Satpaev. Nowadays all the KazNTU activity is focused on the University's prestige increase, reformations, improvement of teaching quality and management system perfection.
