QC Copper & Gold (TSX-V: QCCU.V) owns the Opemiska Copper Complex which neighbours the town of Chapais, Quebec and is within the Chibougamau region, renowned for its mineral wealth. The property hosts two past producing underground mines in Springer and Perry, both previously operated by Falconbridge and at one point, Opemiska was considered to be the company’s major copper producer. Falconbridge operated Opemiska from 1953 to 1991, where it produced a total of 23 million tonnes at 2.4% copper, 0.3 g/t gold.
