The main aim of LINO is to strengthen European research cooperation facilitating the successful integration of Lithuanian researchers into international research and innovation projects as well as monitor, analyze and report on developments in EU research and innovation policy.
The activities of LINO office embrace, but are not limited to:
1. Information exchange covering research and innovation policy issues as well as project opportunities
2. Promotion of Lithuanian RDI strengths and interests via active dissemination and targeted meetings, seminars, and other special events.
3. Facilitation of interaction and networking with EU institutions and organisations.
LINO provides free services to researchers from all fields in Lithuania as well as researchers coming to Lithuania. LINO is a part of the Research Council of Lithuania and closely cooperates with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania and other national institutions dealing with RDI issues. The office is based at the Permanent Representation of Lithuania to the European Union.
