Women’s CricZone is a media and broadcasting company which exclusively covers women’s cricket globally. We have a website and an app where we provide complete coverage of women’s matches comprising of news, articles, features, and interviews as well as live coverage. Yash Lahoti, the founder and CEO, started Women’s CricZone as a Twitter handle during the 2017 World Cup. In March 2018, a portal was developed as a website for articles and feature pieces. The idea is to both promote and provide updates on everything happening in the world of women’s cricket. The website was started in its fundamental form in December 2017 and after publishing a few articles, it went on to become fully functional late in 2018 with the T20 World Cup in West Indies. In 2019, we released the first edition of the magazine with India cricketer Smriti Mandhana on the cover, since then we went on to publish five more editions of the magazine covering various stories. In 2020, we expanded our coverage with a new-looking website and a mobile application. Since then all contents go on both the website and the app. During the launch of the second edition of the magazine, we also introduced an annual global cricketing award named ‘Elixir Honours’. Many India cricketers – both domestic and international cricketers – were present during the first season of the award and we have been doing it consistently since then. The latest edition of the Elixir Honours was a digital one owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, we ventured into broadcasting with the Kwibuka tournament that was held in Rwanda in June 2021. The matches were streamed on our platforms. Since then we have acquired rights for all the international matches held in Argentina, Namibia, and Thailand. Apart from the website and the app, we have our own YouTube channel, Twitter and Instagram handles along with Women’s CricZone’s Facebook page. We have 53K followers on Twitter, 34.8K on IG, and 143K followers on FB.
