UCC's Medical Research and Technology Society (MRT) is a society that was created in 2019 with the sole aim of cultivating a network of students passionate about involving themselves with the research and technological opportunities available in the medical field. UCC MRT is the bridge between medicine & technology and the gateway to research, advancing healthcare and AI. To date, the society has upwards of 300 active members. The society seeks to run: UCC's first Student Medical Journal, National Conferences, Talks from industry experts in AI/Telemedicine/MedTech devices, and Business Idea Development Weekends, Accessibility Workshops and much more events!
