The Australian Consortium for Social and Political Research Incorporated (ACSPRI) is a not-for-profit organisation formed for the promotion and enhancement of social science research and methods in Australia.
Our most prominent activities are regular training programs in social research methods and research technology. ACSPRI currently runs annual programs in Melbourne and Brisbane and short online courses throughout the year.
ACSPRI also runs a survey research centre (Academic Surveys Australia), specialising in data collection for academic social science research, as well as methodological research and the development of software and tools. We specialise in surveys for university-based researchers, policy researchers, and projects that have the potential to improve survey methodology and practice. ASA also develops and maintains open source survey and related software, used in research centres all over the world.
ACSPRI manages the Australian Survey of Social Attitudes (AuSSA), Australia’s main source of data for the scientific study of the social attitudes, beliefs and opinions of Australians, how they change over time, and how they compare with other societies.
