Our communities are stronger when we support stability and break down the barriers to overcoming poverty. Solid Ground combines direct services with advocacy to meet basic needs, nurture success, and spread change.
Through 20+ programs, people gain stability and build skills that equip them to move forward in their lives. We work toward ending racism and other oppressions embedded in our institutions, policies, and culture that hold people back from succeeding. By amplifying the voices of people experiencing poverty throughout the political process, we further social justice and support our entire community in reaching its fullest potential.
Each Year more than 65,000 King County residents engage with Solid Ground to address their urgent food, housing & transportation needs, while changing the institutional practices & policies that perpetuate poverty.
