Brisoc is a student-led organisation whose mission is to represent all Muslim students at the University of Bristol and help them adjust to university life as comfortably as possible. We ensure that everyone is catered for by planning events that are both educational and social in nature.
Our main objectives are:
Helping Muslim students' welfare, social, academic, and spiritual development through a variety of events and activities. In addition to offering a safe space for Muslim students to publicly practise their faith, our mission is to represent Muslim students at the University. In our capacity as their representatives on campus, we help our members get around Bristol by offering crucial information such as accessible prayer rooms, halal butchers, a space for weekly Friday prayers and housing details, while also ensuring that the Muslim community's viewpoint is heard.
Through conversations and debates, we hope to improve Muslims' and non-Muslims' knowledge of Islam's essential principles. Brisoc's mission is to create a positive image of Islam by addressing common misconceptions about Islam, as well as to engage in and maintain a good relationship with other societies and the community.
