Ruahine Kindergarten Association - Te Pūtahi Kura Pūhou o Ruahine, was established in 1949 by our community, for our community, and generations of whānau continue to entrust their tamariki with us.
We are committed to keeping tamariki safe and strong, nurturing respectful relationships with whānau and our wider community. We have 20 Kindergartens and 6 Early Learning centres across the Manawatu, South Rangitikei, Pahiatua and Foxton, each unique in character and values, offering different options for whānau in terms of age range and opening hours.
100% of our permanent teachers are qualified, registered and trained in first aid. We know the difference professional teachers make in the lives of tamariki and at Ruahine they engage in continuous professional development and research to strengthen their practice.
Ruahine is not for profit, so we invest all our income in the next generation, rather than private owners or shareholders. This means fees for 2 year old's and under are very low, and those aged 3 and over can attend for up to 30 hours at no charge. Our environments are spacious, well resourced, fit for purpose and full of fun.
Ruahine is a member of the New Zealand Kindergartens network.
