Founded in 1973, Friends of Homeless Animals is Northern Virginia's no-kill animal shelter. Each dog and cat that comes into our care is a member of our family until (and after) he or she finds a forever home with a new adoptive family.
From our Loudoun County location, along with a network of foster homes, we shelter, feed, medicate, train, rehabilitate, and adopt cats and dogs of every shape, size, age and breed.
Our shelter, which is located on 40 beautifully wooded acres, is a great environment to meet the animals and is a very upbeat, happy place. Our cats are in communal buildings and not in cages. For the dogs, we have several acres of beautifully maintained trails. Bring your family and spend as much time as you would like choosing your new family member.
