OUR MISSION: Improve healthcare delivery by performing and supporting research to develop and utilize innovative techniques for analysis of medical data. F. A. R. Institute (FARI) is a nonprofit 501c3 public charity applying "big data" science to medicine. All findings are presented at science symposiums and published in peer-reviewed medical journals (cf website for citations). Currently, FARI is engaged in the Alzheimer Disease Initiative, working in collaboration with faculty at New College of Florida and supported by a grant from Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation and by private donations. The goal of this major project is early detection and therapeutic approaches to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. A related project is building a “learning health system” to investigate clinical patterns and identify trends in acuity; objective is transforming voluminous disparate data into actionable information for clinicians. Our goal is improving patient outcomes and extending quality of life.
