Founded in 1974, Lavino Kapur Cottons Pvt. Ltd. has been a pioneer and an industry leader for over 45 years. With our manufacturing unit located in Maharashtra (MIDC, Tarapur), we specialize in manufacturing of pharmacopeia grade absorbent cotton and products made therefrom. These include cotton pads (in different shapes – round, oval, rectangle – plain, dualfaced, “side stitched”), cotton balls, cotton pleats, cotton rolls and cotton buds. 100% of our production is for the export market. Our state-of-the-art facility (situated about 120 km from Mumbai) is fully equipped for mechanical cleaning and bleaching of raw cotton and conversion of these bleached fibers into the above range of finished products. Ours is amongst a handful of companies in the world, that have the entire facility under one roof. We also have in-house machinery to manufacture drawstrings bags which greatly improves lead times. Only the highest quality input fibers (100% virgin cotton and comber noils) are used to manufacture our products, making use of cleaning methods not commonly found in the industry. All our pads are made from cotton fleece produced by a 'water bonding' method i.e. hydroentanglement. This gives the product multi-directional strength and ensures "no fiber shedding”. We have a license to produce ‘stitched’ pads which require a patent to manufacture. We are an ISO 9001:2015, BRC and GOTS certified company and BSCI compliance. Our long standing relationship/association with some of the leading global retailers and brands, stands testimony to the fact that Lavino-Kapur enjoys a good reputation in the global market.
