Our Institute holds the pride of being the first ever Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh, established in the year 1946 by the Government of Composite State of Madras. Later, it became a constituent college of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in 1972. Subsequently, the college has made rapid strides under J.N.T. University that came into existence from 20th August 2008 and has been playing a pivotal role in the technological advances of the region. Our college has been accredited by both AICTE and UGC besides being recognized by several national and international funding agencies like World Bank Aid Programme, TEQIP and Indian and Foreign educational institutions. Our college offers strong and comprehensive bachelor’s degree programmes in Electronics & Communications Engineering (ECE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Civil Engineering (CE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Petrochemical Engineering (PCE) and Petroleum Engineering (PE). The PG programmes (M.Tech.) include specializations in Instrumentation & Control Systems, Computer and Communication Engineering, High Voltage Engineering, Advanced Power Systems, Structural Engineering, Geo-Technical Engineering ,CSE, IT, MCA, MSIT etc.. We spare all our efforts to groom our students, not only in their chosen discipline, but also broaden their mindsets and create positive attitudes thus equipping them with all qualities to make them an asset to whichever institute/organization they may join. Around 450 final year students from our campus are being placed every year in reputed IT companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, CA Technologies, United Online, Hexaware Technologies, FTD, Ivy Comptech, Hyundai Mobis, Infotech, Honeywell etc. & Core companies L&T, ITC, PunjiLoyd, BSCPL, BEL Reliance, Medha Servo Drives, GVK power, NFCL, Halliburton, Cairn India, Hyundai Motors, etc. during the campus interviews.
