Incepted in 2020, Mumble operates as an innovative platform, dedicated to harnessing the power of technology and new media to create scalable, dynamic solutions that tackle real-world problems. Guided by its ethos, "Inspiring change, empowering innovation", Mumble is led by a group of seasoned ICT4D practitioners and researchers.
Mumble emphasizes a people-first approach, advocating for inclusive program design that ensures no one is left behind. The organization's process involves designing, testing, and adapting prototypes in real-life scenarios and integrating these solutions into programs to initiate substantial, positive transformations within often marginalized communities.
Among its notable initiatives, Mumble has led the way in promoting the use of menstrual cups for safe menstrual hygiene practices in Bangladesh and has developed the award-winning "Ma Jaan" android application to enhance access to emergency obstetric and newborn care for the people living in the slums. We have been conducting comprehensive research on family planning and maternal health issues among the indigenous communities in Bangladesh.
While Mumble's primary work is in public health, the organization is expanding its efforts to include climate change adaptation, resilience building, circular economy development, and humanitarian programs. Its collaborative work with globally renowned organizations, such as UNFPA, UNICEF, Jhpiego, CWFD, CIPRB, IRC, the Ministry of Education, and the Department of Youth Development of Bangladesh, stands as a testament to its impact.
