Digital Iceland The Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs sets Government policy on information technology. The Ministry operates Digital Iceland, whose task is to work towards the advancement of projects across State and local government institutions, with the aim of significantly expanding digital services. Digital Iceland operates it's services through Island.is --- Stafrænt Ísland Fjármála- og efnahagsráðuneytið fer með stefnumótun stjórnvalda um upplýsingatækni. Á vegum ráðuneytisins er starfrækt verkefnastofa um Stafrænt Ísland sem vinnur að framgangi verkefna þvert á stofnanir ríkis og sveitarfélaga með það að markmið að stórefla stafræna þjónustu. Ísland.is er stafræn þjónustugátt er stýrt af Stafrænu Íslandi og er ætlað að einfalda samskipti við hið opinbera.
