ruralDimensions is a freelance rural development consultancy based in the tourist town of Callander in rural Perthshire, Scotland. ruralDimensions specialises in sustainable rural development. The company seeks to fully integrate the social, economic and environmental dimensions of rural life and has a particular focus on tourism, a sector which invariably touches on all others. ruralDimensions was established in 2009 by Carron Tobin, a former executive director at Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. In 2010 ruralDimensions became a limited company. ruralDimensions provides a broad range of rural development services mainly within the tourism and community development sphere. The services offered are bespoke and tailored to the specific needs of each client. ruralDimensions regularly tenders for work and also gets a significant amount of follow on work and repeat business from existing clients. Carron's background is as a professional planner and landscape architect and although she no longer practices either discipline her project management skills were well honed during this era - and are probably why she is intent on making a real difference on the ground!
