If you're an expecting or new parent, you're likely dealing with sleep deprivation, hormonal shifts, and uncertainty that you've never experienced before. You're suddenly planning an entire life, from medical care and day care to pre-school to college. And of course, financial planning -- you'll be spending roughly $6,000 this year on baby products alone. If that weren't enough, there are roughly 100 baby products that you'll be told are "essential" to buy and everyone will have an opinion on the best one.
Every year, there are millions of new parents searching for information online, buying books by experts, asking for recommendations, and sometimes even creating spreadsheets just to keep track of everything. Other parents are making quick decisions because the research is hard, boring, and time-consuming. And when new parents impulse-buy the essentials like diapers or bottles -- often because the product worked for a friend -- these parents usually find that they need to go back to the store when their baby gets fussy or gets gas, rash, or colic.
Most of us go through this phase and struggle to figure it out. It doesn’t need to be that hard. And how many unnecessary mistakes are made along the way that cost time and money? Wouldn't it be amazing if we could simply give new parents an easier process to get it right quickly, and without confusion?
In 2015, we realized that the system was broken. At mesearch, we put the "me" in research by helping you figure out what you care about and find the products that fit your needs.
