mPulse’s software lets TV viewers socialize with each other using their Web-enabled mobile phones. The software also displays ads on the viewer’s phone that appear concurrently with related TV commercials, creating a "social TV ad network."
Media clients such as MTV, VH1, CBS CW, NBC Bravo, license mPulse’s software to create interactive communities around TV shows. Advertisers pay a premium to show direct response ads synchronized with broadcast ads to these opt-in communities.
