joiz is an innovative TV broadcaster, a producer of highly relevant content, a multi channel network (MCN) and a technology platform. The company is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland and employs 63 FTEs in Switzerland and 64 FTEs in Germany.
Through its content, broadcasting and MCN activities, joiz targets a young audience of 14 – 35 year olds. The target group for the technology licensing includes TV broadcasters, producers, online publishers and sports/football clubs.
In 2014, joiz won the prestigious “Young Entrepreneur Award of Switzerland” at the Swiss Economic Forum. joiz initially launched as a digital and analogue FTA TV channel in Switzerland in 2011. In 2013 joiz launched a digital and analogue FTA TV channel in Germany as well as an HD version with the pay TV model. Apart from that joiz started tapping into the MCN YouTube market in January 2014.
joiz has developed a proprietary and innovative technology framework: mobile, internet, TV and social media are synchronized in real-time and enable joiz to run interactive formats as well as cross-media advertising campaigns with direct feedback and measuring channels for advertising partners which are both in line with the parallel media consumption habits of the youth of today. This framework allows the viewer of a TV or a livestream a much higher degree of interactivity and engagement with the channels, other viewers and advertisers. The technology is overlaid on the TV channels, driving user engagement making him/her a user, and eventually a consumer. This technology has proven tob e extremely successful internal, so much so that joiz is beginning to license it worldwide as „joiz global“, to a variety of external partners.
