ICEALEX, an innovation consultancy firm, is a leading platform for sector specific incubations, and acts as a community-driven technology innovation hub with a strong social and environmental commitment. The main approach for ice activities is to provide an enabling ecosystem for action-oriented minds co-creating sustainable solutions for local challenges and transforming them into sustainable businesses. Through icealex’s activities and in particular the innovation consultancy arm, icealex promotes innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurship with the focus of making youth more employable, supporting startups & SGBs to thrive and scale, and co-creating viable solutions for local challenges. icealex is an active founder of iceHubs Global (CIC) that emerged from the international network of ice hubs: iceaddis in Ethiopia, icealex in Egypt, and icebauhaus in Germany. By leveraging its network of community-driven tech hubs, iceHubs Global became able to solve complex challenges and implement solutions in a distributed manner across its network. Since 2011, we were able to actively work with different stakeholders in more than 12 countries both grassroots level and the government collaboration level. Amongst these countries, we were dedicated to making impact in developing economies like in Africa (Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Ghana…etc.) and in South East Asia (e.g. Indonesia).
