Eroots Analytics

eRoots Analytics develops breakthrough technologies for Power Grid analysis, control and operation. Our field of expertise is focused on power networks with high penetration of power electronics, such as those with a dominant presence of Wind or Solar Photovoltaic generation. Power networks have been radically transformed in recent decades with the gradual penetration of renewable energy generation. Most of these new forms of clean energy generation are implemented through Power Electronics-based systems, which display a very distinct non-linear behaviour, radically impacting the dynamics of Power Grids. Yet, the main analysis solutions cormerically available for Power Grids analysis and simulation are just incremental adaptations from the same techniques which have been used in conventional Power Grids for over thirty years. eRoots Analytics, on the other hand, has developed customized analysis solutions for the Power Grids of our new reality. Along with this, we also offer customized engineering solutions for the most complex problems of renewable energy integration in the Power Grid. eRoots Analytics is a spin-off startup of the CITCEA-UPC group of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which has a strong academic record of accumulated research efforts on this emerging field. The company was started with the financing and sponsorship of The Collider accelerator program, an initiative of the Mobile World Congress.
