Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing (we’re known as Bureau van Dijk or just BvD) was established as a separate entity in 1991 following the division of activities within the former Bureau Marcel van Dijk. We now have over 800 employees working in more than 30 offices across the globe. The majority of our staff focus on sales, marketing and customer support in offices in: Amsterdam, Beijing, Bratislava, Brussels, Buenos Aires, Chicago, Copenhagen, Dubai, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Manchester, Mexico City, Milan, Moscow, New York, Paris, Rome, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Stockholm, Sydney, Tokyo, Vienna, Washington D.C. and Zurich. Our research team collects both global M&A data and intelligence around corporate ownership structures, and is based in Manchester, Brussels and Singapore. We also have a team of journalists writing news stories on deals and rumours. Product management and software development are based in our Geneva and Brussels offices. We have always been profitable and have been ISO 9001 compliant since 1998. We are owned by EQT VI, which is part of EQT, the leading private equity group in Northern Europe, and our senior management.
