Der Zentralverband der deutschen Werbewirtschaft (ZAW) ist die Dachorganisation von 43 Verbänden der am Werbegeschäft beteiligten Kreise. Er vertritt die Interessen der werbenden Unternehmen, des Handels, der Medien, der Werbeagenturen sowie der Werbeberufe und der Marktforschung. Er ist die gesamthafte Vertretung der Werbewirtschaft in Deutschland.
Der ZAW repräsentiert Investitionen in kommerzielle Kommunikation von 48 Mrd. Euro. Davon fließen 35 Mrd. Euro in die Werbung, inklusive 25 Mrd. Euro Netto-Werbeeinnahmen der Medien. Dazu kommen 13 Mrd. Euro weitere Formen kommerzieller Kommunikation wie Suchwortvermarktung, Sponsoring, Werbeartikel oder Direktwerbung. In Deutschland sind rund 900.000 Beschäftigte in den Arbeitsbereichen der Marktkommunikation tätig.

The German Advertising Federation (ZAW) is the umbrella organisation of 43 associations of the circles involved in the advertising business. It represents the interests of advertising companies, the trade, the media, advertising agencies as well as the advertising professions and market research. It is the overall representative of the advertising industry in Germany.
The ZAW represents investments in commercial communication of 48 billion euros. Of this, 35 billion euros flow into advertising, including 25 billion euros in net advertising revenues from the media. In addition, there are 13 billion euros in other forms of commercial communication such as keyword marketing, sponsoring, promotional items or direct advertising. In Germany, around 900,000 people are employed in the fields of market communication.
