Yissum (name meaning "to apply" or "application" in Hebrew) is the Tech Transfer and Research Development Company of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Ltd. Founded in 1964 to protect and commercialize the Hebrew University’s intellectual property. Ranked among the top technology transfer companies, Yissum has registered close to 11,500 patents; has licensed over 1,100 technologies and has spun out over 245 diversified companies.
