With our podcast 'Nahostcast' we want to share our passion for the diverse cultural landscapes of the MENA-region with the public. Each member of our group has a background in a different study disciplines and has studied, researched and traveled in the region. In this process, it is very important for us to discuss topics together with people involved in them and not just talking about them. We are firm believers in the transformative power of breaking up stereotypes and building bridges between cultures! In form of a podcast we share personal stories that sketch a different picture from what people are used to hear and see about the Middle East. We want to present the diversity of the region and point out how less we actually know about it in Germany. Our drive is to inform, show unsual perspectives and in this way establish connections between humans and their cultures.
