YASAD is a non-governmental organization representing the software industry in Turkey. YASAD has been established in 1992 to be the bridge between Software Industry and the authorities in order to improve the software industry market locally and internationally by increasing local software usage in Turkey. Besides that YASAD aims to increase software exports from Turkey to the world by helping it's members to create international brands for their software products.YASAD has more than 400 members from large enterprises to SMEs. YASAD covers all over Turkey geographically, members of YASAD represents more than 80% of the revenue generated by software companies in Turkey and more than 95% of the exported SW products.
YASAD creates several clusters amongst its members and creates development projects funded by Ministry of Economics to globalize the local SW products and to increase the export of Turkish SW companies.
YASAD co-operates with European partners CloudZone and American partners Houston Technology Center. Board members of YASAD are also acting as Board Member in European Technology Clusters in Celtic Plus, ITEA3; also as member of NEM, NESSI, Net!Works and 5G-PPP. These members are actively working on FP7 and Eureka projects. YASAD management has been active in EC FP7 FI-PPP program, recently YASAD partnered FI-PPP Phase-3 call project FRACTALS has been awarded to support by the EC.
