The Worshipful Company of International Bankers (WCIB) is the meeting place for financial services professionals: A vibrant, inclusive livery company, connecting established and emerging leaders in international banking and financial services to promote the City, networking, insights, education and philanthropy.
The Worshipful Company of International Bankers is the 106th City of London livery company. It was established by Royal Charter to promote the development and advancement of the science art and practice of the international banking and financial services industry for the benefit of the public and to provide a forum for professional and social exchanges between members, others in the financial services industry and those who benefit from the industry.
Members raise and donate money to the Company's charitable fund the International Bankers Charitable Trust (reg 1087630) which has so far donated over £1 million to educational and other charities as well as funding prizes for academic excellence.
Although the Company is new, it follows the traditon of all City of London livery companies in supporting the Lord Mayor, Sheriffs, Aldermen and Corporation of the City of London in all matters relevant to the life and dignity of the City of London.
The Company has links with units of the UK's Reserve Forces and Cadets.
With more than 700 members, drawn from over 250 companies and institutions and with almost 50 nationalities represented, the Company has a truly international character.
