The World Inequality Lab works to produce and disseminate research on the various dimensions of inequality, both within and between countries. Its core mission is to maintain and expand the World Inequality Database, the most extensive public database on global inequality dynamics.
The World Inequality Lab also produces inequality reports and working papers addressing thematic and methodological issues. The 2022 edition presents the most up-to-date synthesis of international research efforts to track global inequalities: https://wir2022.wid.world/
The WIL is composed of about thirty researchers and staff. It is hosted at the Paris School of Economics and the University of Berkeley, California. The team works in close coordination with more than 150 researchers - the WID Fellows - based in institutions around the world. All interested institutions and researchers are welcome to join our community.
